Heath Bunting (UK)
Blood rank vs social network

Heath Bunting will be presenting his current body of work - the status project. This study examines the system by which identity is constructed, maintained and destroyed. This system is composed of a multitude of networked persons, each with a different outlook and method of operation. A subject is somehow conceived, held and forgotten within this network. Practically though, this artwork, demonstrates the ease with which human beings can create new identities for themselves, using commonly available services. A British national can be manufactured in 12 hours with 20 Euro expenses.

Heath Bunting was born a Buddhist in Wood Green, London, UK and is able to make himself laugh (currently, reduced to only a smile). He is a co-founder of both net.art and sport-art movements and is banned for life from entering the USA for his anti genetic-work. His self taught and authentically independent work is direct and uncomplicated and has never been awarded a prize.

He is both Britain's most important practising artist and The World's most famous computer artist.
He aspires to be a skilful member of the public and is producing an expert system for identity mutation.
