GAS OF LATVIA izdod CD-Rom WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS (Sturmmandat 15)
Visi albumā izmantotie audio viļņi ierakstīti ar klasisko VEF 206 modeļa radiouztvērēju pagājušajā vasarā. To kompozīcija ir kā savdabīga radio hronika, kuru veido radio ētera starpstaciju trokšņi. Tikpat agresīvs un kritisks, cik meditatīvs un dziļš, albuma saturs vienlaicīgi uztverams gan kā šī laika, gan globālu sociālu procesu muzikāls atspulgs Latvijas Gāzes interpretācijā.
Tajā ir divas vairāku daļu kompozīcijas: Layers of Excitement un We are the Champions, kuras kopā veido monolītu skaņas ceļojumu ambient-noise muzikālajā teritorijā. CD-Rom audiomateriālam pievienota arī We are the Champions videoversija (paredzēta PC tipa datoriem). Nosaukums un skartās tēmas atklāsies noklausoties albumu.
CD prezentācija notiks 13. novembrī klubā DEPO, pasākuma AUDIO LSD ietvaros (uzstāsies GAS OF LATVIA, 2OT, GRBR + DJ Knab, DJ Kinderfeld).
CD varēs iegādāties klubā DEPO, kā arī STURM (www.rosewater.lv/sturm) un Torņa (www.tornis.lv) pasta veikalos.

GAS OF LATVIA has released CD-Rom WE ARE THE HAMPIONS (Sturmmandat 15)
All the audio waves of the new album has been recorded with the clasique VEF 206 radio receiver during the last summer. The composition reminds of an original radio chronicle created by inter-stational noises over the radio airwaves. Being just as aggressive and critical as meditative and deep, the content of the album is simultaneously to be taken as a musical reflection of both - the contemporary matters and the global social processes - in the interpretation of Gas of Latvia.
It contains multiple parted compositions: Layers of Excitement and We are the Champion which together make a monolith trip of sound through the area of ambient-noise. Beside CD-Roms audio material also is added "We are the Champions" video (PC). The title and the themes will reveal themselves after listening to the album.
Presentation of the CD on November 13 in club DEPO within the AUDIO LSD event (participating GAS OF LATVIA, 2OT, GRBR + DJ Knab, DJ Kinderfield).
Youll be able to purchase the CD in the club DEPO as well as using the STURM (www.rosewater.lv/sturm) or Tornis rec. (www.tornis.lv) mail orders.

DEAF04 (Holandes elektroniskās mākslas festivāls)
DEAF04 ir mediju mākslas un tehnoloģiju festivāls, kurš piedāvā plašu spektru mūzikas un interaktīvus mākslas darbus un performances, seminārus un meistardarbnīcas, diksusijas un prezentācijas, akadēmiskus simpozijus utt.
Festivāla šī gada tēma ir "Afektīvā turbulence: Atvērto sistēmu māksla", kas aplūko atvērto sistēmu svārstīgumu un emocijas kā darbību esenci - to ietekmi uz sistēmām.

DEAF04 (Dutch Electronic Art Festival)
DEAF04 is a festival for art and media technology in which the public is more than merely a spectator. With a large exposition of interactive artworks, music and performances, seminars and workshops, discussions and presentations, an academic symposium and more.
Under the title Affective Turbulence: The Art of Open Systems, the theme of DEAF04 focuses on the instability of open systems and feelings as the essence of actions that affect and influence these systems.

Cartographic Command Centre
Cartographic Command Centre (CCC) ir instalācija, kas caur publiskiem kartēšanas projektiem redzamus padara apslēptos "lokatīvos" datus un aicina uztvert apkārtējās vides interaktīvas un ģeneratīvas vizualizācijas.
CCC ir sadarbības projekts, kuru veidojuši: Marc Tuters (CA), Jānis Garančs (LV) sadarbībā ar RIXC (LV), Projekts Atol PACT SYSTEMS (SL), Ljudmila Digital Media Lab (SL).

Cartographic Command Centre
The Cartographic Command Centre (CCC) is an installation that makes visible hidden "locative" data-scapes through public participatory mapping projects, and invites one to perceive the surrounding environment at multiple scales through interactive and generative visualizations.

PIENS
Esther Polak (NL), Ieva Auziņa (LV) un RIXC
Piens ir lokatīvās mākslas projekts, kurš, izmantojot GPS tehnoloģijas, pēta vizuālās un dokumentējošās iespējas.
Projekts iepazīstina ar piena starptautiskiem pārtikas tirdzniecības ceļiem. No Latvijas zemnieku saimniecībām piens nonāk vietējā fabrikā, kur ar Itālijas eksperta palīdzību tiek siets siers. Tālāk piens tiek transportēts uz Holandi, kur tiek pārdots Utrehtas tirgū.
Projekta rezultātā ir izveidota karte, kura atspoguļo piena ceļu no tā radīšanas brīža līdz gala patērētājam, karšu "zīmēšanas" procesā iesaistot pašus piena darītājus un petērētājus. Instalācija atspoguļo faktiskos GPS maršrutus, dalībnieku reakcijas, kā arī personīgo saikni ar ainavu.

MILKproject

MILK is locative art - mapping project, that explores visual and documenting possibilities of GPS technology.
The project introduces to one of the countless movements of the international food trade, in this case milk, produced by Latvian farmers, made into cheese by a local factory with the help of an Italian expert, transported to the Netherlands, stored in a Dutch cheese warehouse to ripen and sold at the Utrecht market.
The map follows the milk from the udder of the cow to the plate of the consumer, by means of the people involved. The installation shows the actual GPS-tracks, the reactions of the participants on the tracks, and their personal relationship with the landscape involved.

[audiovizuālās mākslas projekts
Sapnņu fabrikā 6. novembrī notiks audiovizuālās mākslas projekts "Brit Fresh",kura laikā varās iepazāt mūsdienu britu elektronisko mākslu un kultūru, pavēstīja aģentūrā "Promotion".
Pasākumā notiks audiovizuālas performances un mākslas procesu prezentācijas, bet vakarā muzicēs slaveni britu elektroniskās mūzikas izpildītāji.
Programmas dienas daļas vadlīnija būs "Audiovizuālā tīkla kultūra informācijas sabiedrībai" un tās ietvaros tiks prezentēti vairāki britu mūsdienu projekti, kā arī norisināsies radošā darbnīca, kurā piedalīsies izstādīto projektu autori un dalībnieki.
Savukārt vakarā uzstāsies britu elektroniskās mūzikas zvaigznes "Plaid". Viņu koncertā īpaša loma būs attēlam, par kuru rūpēsies britu videomākslinieks Bobs Džaroks.
Biļetes uz pasākumu iespējams iegādāties "Biļešu servisa" tirdzniecības vietās no 18. oktobra. Biļetes uz dienas pasākumiem būs pieejamas par 2,50Ls , bet vakara biļetes būs 5Ls vērtībā. Kopējās biļetes cena būs 6Ls.
