This year the special festival concert at Spīķeri Concert Hall will offer audiovisual interpretations on relationships between nature and technology – harmonies and contrasts. The concert will feature the unique American jazz musician and philosopher David Rothenberg who combines clarinet improvisations with sound recordings of whales and birds in their natural habitats. In his music, David Rothenberg seeks to explore and discover relationships between the human world and the living nature.

The well known British experimental electronic musicians Mark Fell and Matt Steel offer a different perspective. Mark Fell is a multidisciplinary artist who combines experimental electronic music with contemporary art, philosophy and new technologies. On this special occasion, Mark Fell will perform together with Matt Steel as duo "snd", creating live performance with soundscapes of electronic universe – both consonant and contrasting.

Also, Latvian musicians and sound artists will offer both harmonizing and contrasting performances. Jēkabs Nīmanis and Maksims Šenteļevs will perform as project "Jaunā vienmuļība" with their performance "Trejas tatvas" where they will improvise on the three quintessential elements – water, wind and fire.

Whereas the multi-channel performance "Fiksētās trajektorijas" by Mārtiņš Roķis will combine improvisation elements with generated sound structures based on the analysis of insect and bird communication.

The concert will also feature other just as interesting and well known musicians from other European countries.

Tickets are available for purchase at Biļešu Paradīze box offices and online.
Tickets cost 5 Ls. Tickets will be also available at the door at Spīķeri Concert Hall.
